Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
