In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations reverberate through the darkness." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.
The questline centers on "strange trials and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the mission will obtain an special katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
